Last-minute cancellations and changes are a persistent challenge in the hospitality industry, often resulting in lost revenue and operational uncertainty for property managers. Resly wanted to address this issue by reducing the financial burden of cancelations whilst still offering guests flexibility and confidence when booking. Resly integrated Refund Protect into its direct booking engine, allowing property managers to offer guests the option of refundable bookings without impacting their cancellation policies. This innovation provided guests with greater confidence to commit to their stays while helping operators mitigate revenue loss from cancellations and no-shows. By offering a seamless, flexible solution, Resly strengthened the booking experience for both guests and property managers whilst reducing financial risks on non-flexable bookings.

The Result

In 2024, conversion rates with Refund Protect increased by 32% between February and December. With the added security of refundable bookings, guests felt more confident committing to their stays, leading to higher reservation retention and improved revenue stability for Resly customers.
